Berg Buds are little, digital buds in your Berg Wallet. 1 Berg Bud is currently worth R1 ZAR towards product orders on this website. Keep the value left from your monthly basket, earn more with every purchase, top up when it suits you, and spend your buds on the products you love.

When your Monthly Berg Picnic Basket is dispatched, its unused allowance becomes Berg Buds. A R420 allowance with a R400 selection leaves you with 20₿₿ — 20 Berg Buds.
Top up on your terms.
Load your Berg Wallet to receive more Berg Buds. Every R1 successfully paid adds 1₿₿. A R100 top-up gives you 100₿₿ to use across the website.
Spend in your rhythm.
Apply your balance at checkout to cover all or part of your product order. Your Berg Buds never expire, and fractional amounts are kept to two decimal places. Membership fees are excluded.

Get 5% of every completed product order back in your Berg Wallet as Berg Buds. A R500 purchase earns 25 Berg Buds (25₿₿), currently worth R25 towards your next order.
Rewards are calculated on the final product-order total after discounts, including any tax and delivery charged. They are added when your order is completed, and adjusted for refunds or cancellations. Wallet top-ups and membership payments do not earn purchase rewards.

A freer way to pay for cannabis.
Our vision for ₿₿ is a fast, decentralized alternative payment solution for the cannabis industry: a practical connection between people, independent producers and the products they choose.
We want to reduce the friction of paying and transferring value, with less dependence on traditional banking and card intermediaries. The ambition is to lower bank charges, transfer costs and card fees, making everyday purchases more convenient and keeping more value within the community.
Discretion belongs in that vision too. We aim to keep shopping personal and account information private, while giving members more choice about how they pay and receive their orders.
These are design goals for a future payment network. Actual speed, availability and savings will depend on the network and payment providers selected. Blockchain transactions can carry network fees, and conversion or payment services may charge separately. How blockchain network fees work ↗︎

A clear starting point.
Today’s Berg Buds are credit held in your club account. Blockchain withdrawals, decentralized-exchange trading and member-to-member transfers are not available. A future launch is a vision, rather than a promise of a token, listing or investment return. The R1 store-credit value does not guarantee a future exchange-traded token price.
Discreet does not mean untraceable. Public blockchain transactions can be visible, and payment or delivery providers may need contact or identity details. Your current club account still needs an email for sign-in and recovery.
